Weekly Weigh In #10

Nothing significant to report this week except I bought some new clothes from my favorite online retailer expecting them to be a little too small. THEY FIT ME PERFECTLY. I cried. It was ugly. I still can’t believe this progress.

Weekly Weigh In #9

This last week has been rough. I actually was 311.2 when I went to bed and woke up today at 312. I don’t understand why… and it’s discouraging to see weight gain even if it’s a little bit. Anyway, I am REALLY bloated today and lost .5lb after going to the bathroom — so I know that the bloating, gas, and water retention is still playing a role here.

I also ordered new clothes according to my new size measurements and I’m so scared that the clothes won’t fit and I will feel worthless. I was recently diagnosed with OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) and I know that I am placing a lot of unnecessary stress on myself. I don’t NEED to be perfect, but I think I do. Ugh.. anyway, there was still some progress so I guess I can’t be too upset.

Weekly Weigh In #8

After covid, I have been battling a sinus infection. I think today it is finally starting to go away though and my head is feeling less foggy! I have also been able to exercise nearly every day this last week, but today my muscles and joints are rather sore. I will pick it back up again tomorrow.

Down two sizes!!!

I wore my favorite shirt today and it felt HUGE. It came down to my thighs and felt more like a dress so I though, “why not try to buy something at Walmart today?” I was going there anyway.

I go to the plus size section because, well, I’m not naive. I held up a 1X and it was short on my stomach. I found a 3X and it felt a little long, but I thought with my girth (lol) it might be okay.

I got home and it fit perfectly. It’s not too tight in the breasts or stomach. Now, before my surgery I could barely fit a 5X. I had to make sure it was a longer shirt — more like a tunic. I honestly believe I would’ve fit in a 6X if they had it.

I would buy things online on my favorite shop and there I would be a 3x-4x which is equivalent of Walmart’s 5x-6x. I wonder what I would be now at my favorite store!!!?!!  I just can’t believe I went down so much that it’s actually showing in my clothes now!!!

Weekly Weigh In #7

After my post a few days ago, I began feeling MUCH better. Today I am much more myself. Covid is no joke. For about five days I’d lie in bed waiting for death because I had no energy to live. I would be lying there, watching my belly go up and down with each breath, waiting and praying. I have health issues that lead me to be part of the vulnerable population, but I guess my immune system is a lot stronger than I thought she was. She’s a freaking warrior goddess. Although, my biggest concern was about my daughter. I didn’t want her to get sick.

Anyway, beginning this past Monday, I began my exercising regime again. I also had an appointment with my nutritionist who told me that 1.) I may be slotted for another surgery if I do not lose enough this go around and 2.) I need to increase my calorie intake. This terrified me because, in my mind, calories = fat. She assured me this was a minimum for my body and that I need this many in order for my metabolism to hit its peak. So, I’m up to 1400 calories (from 1000). The only benefit I have seen so far is that I am able to hit my protein goal without much issue! FINALLY! We also discussed how some really healthy, beneficial foods might be high in calories — so I think her point is to not focus on the calories. So… I won’t. Or at least I’m trying not to.

This weigh in has some really neat results though…

Random Weigh In #1

I have had covid so I didn’t feel like doing my last weigh in, but today I have a virtual appointment with my nutritionist. I figured I’d better know where I stand so I took my measurements. I decided to begin including my calves and ankles, too. I see a difference in them from before surgery so I’d like to know how much of a difference.

At any rate, I got down to 317lbs. I have been working on exercising again, even though it’s hard to breathe, because I feel like I cannot lose anything. I gained 1.5lbs but I think it’s due to water retention because of my muscles being overworked (whereas they weren’t being used in nearly a month because I fell at the beginning of December and then caught covid at the end /facepalm).

I’m trying to take the gains in stride because I know where I went wrong, know I can fix it, and know it’s mostly temporary. For instance, I know I gained back a pound and half, I’m still lower than my last weigh in but my measurements have gone up a bit. So I know I’m not gaining back a ton of fat. (This is me rationalizing because of my borderline disorder so I’m trying to chill tf out.)

Anyway… without further ado…
